If both tunes sell more than 400,000, it would be the first time two songs have debuted in the same week with more than 400,000

We can share a record with the Katy Cats!

The only people who have been giving it horrible reviews are the pressed gaga hating websites and pressed Stan's! I think the gp is here for Applause!!! At least I hope!!

It's like the complete opposite of the Born This Way release. There was so much hate from the GP, and I think a lot of people were turned off by the era altogether. Looks like Gaga is winning a lot of the GP back with Applause!

Well, Bad Romance was a tough song to beat. :rip: And Alejandro was my favorite Gaga single ever so even that was hard to top.

BTW on the other hand is an easy song to outdo.

Isn't katy perry more likely to go Number 1 seeing as she's a day ahead of gaga?

Gaga usually has better first-week sales and I don't think missing one day of sales will hurt her.

Neither song is likely to go #1 next week and I wish we'd just move on from this already.

I really hope this song has some great longevity and overall sales!!! I want it to smash!

Does anyone know how the song has been doing on radio? I haven't seen any updates or whatnot. I don't listen to radio much so I was curious if anyone had any information

I think Gaga will go #1 in many international markets, not America yet. She will next week I think tho

It's had a radio deal on pop stations being played every hour

The moment I walked out of work Applause was blaring on both my local hits stations.

I had to pull over

It really is so, so good. It's everything I wanted. I hope the GP sees how amazing this song is.

My favorite part is the A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E after the chorus and the MAKE IT LOUD belt at the end.

So good. :music:

1 Katy Perry - Roar 1.0000

2 Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell) 0.4304

It took Katy 19 hours to get that lead. I'm looking forward to how good Gaga will do :excited2:

Where'd you get this from?

Also, when will we know the official numbers for Roar & Applause?

There are tons of layers to the chorus. It's fabulous how one listen after another you notice something new in the production or vocals.

Aw man I live for these moments.
