Math 92 Posted August 9, 2013 Share Posted August 9, 2013 Judging by Katy's snippet and hints that Lady Gaga is doing electronic/EDM for her lead, I think Katy is gonna crush Gaga in the airplay battle. never doubted that. Katy has a much larger radio support, just like Rihanna. although I'm sure Applause's impact will be much much bigger. Gaga is in the same boat as Britney here. It's not even half the chorus so.. But IT really sounds good ... I am both happy that she isn't releasing something that can either smash or not like Gaga's Bad Romance for example but at the same time I am kinda dissapointed that she is releasing a song build for radio .. and at the same time x3 I like the song .. It's nothing fresh but it's very safe. Calling 4-5 million for it. Gaga still has the chance to come back with something legendary. It doesnt say anything yet to me. I love watching all the pressed Gaga fans having a hard time admitting it sounds good It doesnt sound that good. at least not yet. I bet this song will follow the likes of Somebody That I Used To Know, Radioactive, and Pumped Up Kicks. They were all charting around the top 10 on iTunes while they went #1 on Alternative radio.
