The APPLAUSE video will be released the same day as you can buy it and 30 views equal 1 sale on the Billboard chart if I remember correctly. How do you know that? I think that this make work if you watch the video one time for 30 seconds. That will be a view, because you came there, but you are not interested in the video so you wont continue watching something that you arent interesting in. But I dont think that YouTube is so stupid to just count a computer with the same IP adress that just refreshes an adress at every 30 seconds as 1 view every time you refresh. That will depend on the direction she goes with this album. If she goes back to her roots (One Of The Boys) she won't be as successful but if she keeps the TD direction she will be very successful.
