Those sales are disturbingly low for such huge airplay At the moment, that's true, but Suit and Tie will probably reach at least 3 million, and Mirrors probably around 2-2.5 million. Gaga said that she ended up not being on the track because of disagreements with Lamar's management team. Well his management team can't be all that great if they let a collab with Lady Gaga slip right past their fingers. Lamar's sales are targeted towards a pretty narrow demographic and he isn't popular among DJ's either. Although his album and singles ended up being successful in the end, I feel like a Gaga collab could have been the push he needed to be launched into true super-stardom. Thats what I thought he was asking too. Those sales are disturbingly low for such huge airplay Well his album has sold extremely well, so that has erased a lot of potential single buyers right there. However, perhaps the fact that he's been so majorly successful on the radio has actually hurt his sales. Many casual listeners have been hearing his songs so much that they might not feel an urge to actually buy them. People only buy things that they truly love and/or passionate about. His singles have, quite honestly, been very boring. There's nothing polarizing about them. This helped make them huge on the radio, which tends to stay away from songs that spark strong opinions, but ultimately hurt his sales in the end. Its kind of bull****. Radio shouldve spun her songs more if they got so much digital backing, given the lower AI. Timberlakes ratios are awful.
