Shes good not great, at least by professional artist standards.  She hits bad notes from time to time in live performances.  Elton and Bill Joel would never.

She wrote it and definitely has written more complex pieces. I think that is maybe just something harder to perform live/she maybe just doesn't want to do it

I'm pretty sure it just comes down to her doing pop shows and primarily being the singer at jazz shows.

I don't think she's at Elton John or Tori Amos level, at least she's never shown us that she is.

She often forgets to play while she's singing and she usually plays chords and doesn't freestyle or add melodies a lot. 

She probably has phases where she feels like playing a lot and times when she doesn't.

I would love it if she'd showcase her skills more like Elton and Tori do, especially during live performances.
