Anderson123 42,654
Atlantis is underrated and is the one movie that should be getting a live action if done right. Tarzan is one of the best and has some great music. Lion King is the best Disney (Non Pixar) movie, but that's not an unpopular opinion, it's a fact. gagzus 22,944
My unpopular opinion is they actually were ONLY good at all for a handful of years in the 90s, which ironically is their peak. Never been a big Disney fan granted but their old movies and especially their new ones are bad. Their sci fi movies like Atlantis and Treasure Planet were interesting and are the only movies they have that deserve live action versions. Although Atlantis is basically like Avatar to a degree so I doubt it’ll happen. Edited June 20 by gagzus
StrawberryBlond 15,555
- The 90's was their best period but the other decades were very hit and miss. - Belle is overrated. She seems to be the #1 favourite princess of every 90's girl and while I get how she appeals to bookworms and introverts, etc. I think there are other ones who are better. - Zira (Lion King II) is one of the best villains of all time yet is so underrated and not really spoken about. - The final action sequence of Sleeping Beauty is one of the most outstanding, exciting and satisfying action animations that Disney has ever made and could rival superhero movies. - Ariel is often cited as one of the more passive princesses because she gives up for voice for a man and changes who she is but forget that she was probably the first every proactive, independent, sassy Disney princess who paved the way for everyone who came after her yet never gets her flowers for that. - Everything after the year 2000 has been a shadow of the quality that the company once made. Disney always used to be about appealing to adults as well as children but now they're completely kid focused and are far too modernised. - The ending of Snow White is still the best ending ever made. The on-screen words that tail off as the prince starts singing send a shiver down my spine no matter how many times I see it and it brings a tear to my eye as I see that castle come into view. Well it's Tchaikovsky so obviously it's leagues away from every other song they ever made The only GGD member who can read / Credits to Celloo Deng for the profile pic!
