Runway is a grower

Runway is growing on me.

It's just been played on BBC Radio 2 and it sounded good.

I have to say I didn't listen to it a third time when it was out a week ago, but now I'm enjoying the instrumental especially the skipping and superb electronic instrumental breaks towards the end, it almost sounds like Daft Punk music.

It's a well produced song, yes it completely borrows from previous songs including RuPaul, and yes the rap flow does really sound like a couple Azealia Banks songs, but it doesn't sound like everything on the radio and it isn't as generic and easy as something like APT (which I cannot stand). 

Of course I would have preferred something else from Mayhem to be on the radio by now but it's for The Devil Wears Prada 2 so let's see how it performs.

I heard "I Feel So Free" by Madonna followed by "Runway" on iHeartRadio the other day, and it made me realize just how bad "Runway" is (and believe me, I wanted it to be great, but it's just not good)

Ugh I just can’t…I can’t get over that it sounds like a RuPaul song. I’m sure the drag queens are going to eat it up though.

It's a really fun and catchy song. Sets a good mood for the movie and I'm excited to watch it but also the rest of the soundtrack.

And yes it also made me go back to listen to Azealia's music lol like that's the only rap artist I listen to but she is good at making music even if just some standalone singles and one album. Anna Wintour (the song) flows so well with Runway.

if 143 sounded like this then I'd be streaming it willingly
