It's amazing. I was too hyper (next time I need to calm down a little) but there are so so so many stories about our lovely corner of the internet

LOVED this episode (and the whole pod in general tbh)! Hearing about Mayhem Requiem, how Chica records shows and how "there's no bad Gaga, there's just Gaga you've not learnt to appreciate yet". We NEED a part 2 in the future!

I wrote a 20 page reddit thread on this lol. I think we may someday need a whole episode. I even joined Only Fans as a user to talk to the last surviving band member but she won't give me the time of day even when I tipped her $$ to read my messages. So frustrating

I'm really glad you liked it. TLDR: 

 

1. I stole a weird Gaga poster off an electrical box 

2. I wrote a nerdy ass article on GGD allllll about the poster I stole 

3. The poster was put up by a punk band called Bankrupt Sl*t. 

4. Taylor Swifts people were lurking ggd

5. Taylor Swifts people hired the punk band to make the SAME POSTERS FOR TAYLOR SWIFT

6. Punk band joins ggd to thank me for the gig

7. I become friends with lead singer of punk band, Johnny

8. Johnny writes a song about me because Taylor Swift hired them

9. It was 2012 and I wasn't a Swiftie so I forget the entire story

10. Fast forward to 2023 / 2024 ish Taylor has a song called Sl*t! . I remember the story because the name is so audacious. 

11. i go to reddit and write a gigantic story about the entire thing.

12. The band has faded into total obscurity, and Johnny has possibly passed away. Only 1 member remains alive and she's on Only Fans and ignores my pleas to reach out.

Before I watch this episode I really really want to thank you for your (literal!) notes on Mayhem Requiem that you posted a little while ago!  We don't have Apple+ here so it'll be quite a long time before I get to see it but your detailed track-by-track description of this masterpiece at least gave a glimpse and conveyed the genius, the surprise, the theatrics, the unconventional beauty and the brilliant vocals of it all. How she created this while performing the MBT every other night I don't know.  Thank you so much!

I couldn't not read your TS story before pressing play and then read this. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm speechless, my apologies...

I hope the one remaining member still decides to answer you asap, you deserve that at the very least.
