It’s hard to believe that her huge streaming debut might not be enough to beat out an older song. I haven’t even heard “choosing Texas” but the title alone tells me quite a bit about this the fanbase is.

Ella Langley is another example, like how does the suddenly exist within the music ecosystem. Who's she? Where she came from? Is she real? Lots of new? names and lots questions

It's actually about Ella being from Tennessee and that she thought she'd convinced her new man to choose Tennessee (i.e. her) but when he sees his ex, who's from Texas, she realises he still holds a candle for her and he's "choosing Texas" over her. Not actually a MAGA theme at all but yeah, she's no Kacey Musgraves (the face of more modern, progressive country) her music is that bland , safe whitebread country music that could only appeal to southern country fans which shows in the sense that those are the only places she tours and America's the only country who's paying her any real attention.

I'm saying the same. I don't know where all these new artists come from, how they breakout of nowhere and get a #1 straight out the gate, their album gets acclaim and it's like they're the next best thing. To be fair, I thought Olivia Rodrigo was an industry plant because the runaway success of Driver's License when no one knew her name was extremely suspicious but even if she was, she's talented enough that I don't mind.

Ella Langley was just added to Kid Flop’s Rock The Country mini festival AND has a song with Moron Wallen that will be released this week.
