Well, it's the expectations that comes after TFM or BTW all over again, even today, a lot of fans still expecting that kind of high standards, promos, and high fashion those two eras serves. 

We might never reach that kind of highs ever again, but she is an icon now, and she seems to be managed better career wise by Mikkel(?), so there will always be a new wall to break. It's just that none of them that many fans wanted or expected her to, so there might be a little too strong of reactions when that happen

MAYHEM was a huge f*cking era. I think sometimes people forget that the TFM/BTW days were an anomaly. She will probably never reach those heights again, but that's not a bad thing. MAYHEM was more than enough in every regard: the music, the critical/audience reception, the visuals, the live performance, the interviews, etc.

It's going to be hard to top that tbh. I think the next era will probably be smaller, but I don't mind that. As long as we get good music and interesting visuals, I'm up for anything.

Honestly, I expect her to release LG8 by next year/the end of this year with minimum promo and no tour. We're used to the album release + tour rollout thing and it's about time she does different (not that I want that, but it's a high possibility given the fact she'll want to focus on personal life next). I'd take it, tbh. That's why I think a sister album to MAYHEM is likely, rather than a deluxe or an unrelated thing

The most important thing to me is that she takes her music to the next level like she did with The Fame -> The Fame Monster -> Born This Way. The jump from Joanne/Chromatica to Mayhem has been an amazing surprise and it's so nice to see her this happy with the music she's doing right now.

I trust Gaga whatever she decides to do next, never in these years did I expect to be listening to stuff like Disease so I think she's in a very good direction this time.
