I think she is sabotaging herself somehow. Her tour should have been much bigger if she did stadiums in Europe. They have no idea what they were doing with the tour last year. Also the gap between albums will be like 5 years and everyone will forget about gaga.

I think that mayhem is a stepping stone for Gaga and the next era will be bigger culturally. I don’t expect so see a huge rise in sales or streams but she is as relevant as ever and I think she has established herself fully as an artist that will create buzz with any release, no matter how long she takes between them. There is only one Lady Gaga in the industry and it’s so funny because every single album sounds vastly different but they all somehow sonically belong to her.

It has the potential to be bigger if she promotes it properly which she NEVER does and if she gives us the continuation of Telephone.

Girl the GP doesn’t gaf about a Telephone sequel and she did promote MAYHEM more than properly

I think with MAYHEM, her team and her wanted to bring back her image to the pop world and they used all the slots possible to do that and to make younger people to get to know her. Hence all the incredible promo and concerts we’ve had during this era.

I think that with the next album they might want to be more careful about the release timing. With Abra, for example, we didn’t get higher chart positions because we tried to take advantage of the Grammys hype but didn’t have a full tracking week. They might also want to coordinate the release of physical formats with the lead single to boost sales and aim for overall higher chart placements than MAYHEM.

This, combined with a stadium tour, could really strengthen the era. Maybe that’s just how I imagine the next era in my head, but in my opinion, making Gaga’s image feel even more legacy-driven would look something like this.

She literally did more dates on this tour than she’s done on any tour since BTW lol

Oh One thing that they didn't pushed was physical units and After a successful tour and era. This era worked for both post Joanne and pre btw fans, seems to be the consensus....so maybe physical Sales might get a a bump in figures and they can push more more singles or other stuff with a physical Release. Plus... Like It or not but the album cover Wasnt the MOST inviting, and there was Little content in the booklet.

In that regard im expecting good updates. And im sure that are ways tò properly engage fans so they buy more instead of Just streaming.

I voted 1st option because I wish her that but I don't really care. I was very hopeful for the Mayhem era to be both commercially/GP successful and fan acclaimed. I believe Gaga gave us more than I wished for and we as q fandom deserved. The tour topped everything she has done so far. Now if she wants to do something more niche or explore her other sides than "The Great Old Gaga", I am here for that. Nobody of Gaga's generation and even the younger ones is always that successful era after era (except Taylor McDonald's Swift, but she's another story). I want Gaga to enjoy her next album to it's fullest, regardless the commercial success. Only then she will stay fresh and inspired, and be around and relevant for very long.

I'm not sure how it can get bigger than MAYHEM tbh

A no.1 hit song (DWAS) and album, the gag that was Abracadabra, an iconic Coachella set, a record-breaking 2.5 million attendance in Copacabana, 3x Grammys, 1x Emmy, 4x VMAS, a surprise Super Bowl appearance, numerous television performances and interviews, her highest grossing tour yet...these are some major feats that are hard (not entirely impossible) to replicate.

And we still have The Devil Wears Prada cameo and song, MAYHEM: Requiem and the Mayhem Ball concert film to look forward to. This era is truly for the history books. It's her best since Born This Way imo.

Yeah, she always manages to outdo herself, but now its like 10000 times harder

what a flex tho 💀

Well it was during the covid and she got other projects too. And the extension of the era until 2022
