How? I've seen so much hype for this album online (may have been my Insta bubble though) and it's her comeback after 10 years... she also had different variants of her album.

Wasn't her tour sold out very fast too? She added second dates for The Forum and MSG. Are those people not interested in her new music?

I thought she would easily go No. 1, but last week I've learned about an artist called Megan Moroney, who I've never heard of before (in Germany)

Eh idk why anyone would be shocked. Shes a star to her generation but this is a HUGE return to music that she needs to create some momentum with younger people to buoy. This album was never going to pop and have legs out the gate. Best case scenario it would splash, fall then climb back and stabilize somewhere again as she gained new fans. Worst case would have been it didn’t make a splash at all so I think she’s still doing alright!

Interest in her is very much a niche bubble.  Big enough for a #3 debut, which is impressive, but that’s about it.

I mean, I would go to a Coldplay show and I'm only interested on their classic hits so this seems like it too

I wonder if the first week numbers will be revised due to the amount of people returning / getting refunds for their autopen signed physical copies. The album really isn't good to begin with (Hilary was the first artist I stanned in the 1st grade in 2003 so I'm not saying that to be a hater)

You guys can laugh etc but would Mandy Moore do Better. Or Jennifer hewitt Or so many other artists. Jessica Simpson Just tried with something more serious and flopped. Even Natalia Imbruglia would flop, Nelly Furtado has flopped.

Maybe Lindsay lohen could top this. 

Not saying you're being serious but a Number three Is not tò be taken for granted.
