MountainMonster 1,603
Gypsy is the only answer. And truly the only song that would have performed well. Though Sexxx Dreams is the real gem of the album.
hELXIG 44,674
Okay I'm going to be real and not just going off my own biases - Gypsy absolutely was the most radio friendly, heartfelt, catchy, relatable power ballad off the whole album and absolutely should've (and might've) been the closing single had the era not crashed and burned - Venus could've been a single somewhere in the middle to remind everyone of 'weird Gaga', but also it is a very good song that could've worked - G.U.Y. absolutely should've been a bigger single closer to the start of the era - DWUW would've absolutely smashed as a single if it was just the solo version and she never involved R Kelly - Applause (controversial opinion incoming) was absolutely the correct first single choice. It would've done massive numbers if it wasn't rush-released and the media didn't start the 'Roar vs Applause' mess which sabotaged the song from the start - MANiCURE definitely has radio friendly pop-rock vibes that I think would've done well at the time I believe she should've done: Applause, G.U.Y., Venus, DWUW solo version, MANiCURE promotional single, closing out on Gypsy I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Then the meat dress, then BTW, Judas… everything was going downhill and nothing could’ve stopped that. So yeah, no single would’ve been important either way. Honestly I've always seen Judas as that first thing that sent Gaga's career downhill (at the time) but now that you're mentioning Alejandro I think I kinda see it too I can smell your sickness I can...
