Unpopular opinion: Gaga's tours

This may be an unpopular or popular opinion, depending if you were in attendance, but my biggest gripe is when I saw Gaga for the first time ever on TMBT 2.0 in Charlotte, September 18 2010 - I was fully expecting and looking forward to the performance of Vanity but for some reason, she cut the performance starting with my show, which is odd, given she performed it 2 nights prior in Hartford, CT. Charlotte (9/18) and Raleigh were the final 2 performances of that leg, before heading to Europe almost a month later - why would she cut it before the leg concludes??

The Fame ball - I miss her vocals for this tour

Monster Ball - lack of material is what ranks this lower for me, if she had done this tour with several albums out it could have been better imo

BTWB - this is obviously her biggest production, but I don’t think that immediately means it’s the best tour

ARTRAVE - my personal favorite, her energy in this tour is unmatched and the costumes were so much fun. It definitely felt like her own interpretation of a rave, and it’s her best tour for me.

JoanneWT - she just needed better wigs. Top 3 tho

Chromatica Ball - honestly it was good, but I think it’s over acclaimed. Her past tours were better. I will say though the outfit she wears in replay is by far one of my favorite tour looks of hers. I would have rather the show been bright and explosive with neons and colored wigs, as the majority of her tours besides ARTRAVE are quite dark in aesthetic, and i feel like it was definitely a missed opportunity to create a more visually identifiable “era” given lack of performances.

MAYHEM ball. There are moments that feel a little cheap, but I would say this is definitely one of her better tours. Unfortunately for me, she kinda took out some of the elements I enjoyed about the Coachella show when she revamped it, and tbh I wished that the tour and Coachella were separate because it ruined a lot of the excitement and anticipation I had for the show. Costume design was not that impressive imo this go round, I can’t think of a single outfit that I find any more than just alright.

So when you say the Killah bridge is good, it's a bad take?

i feel like the coachella show was perfect, she shouldve just translated that into a stadium tour

the arena tour for me just feels a little boring and less epic

she had a chance to make this the highest grossing tour of her career with the coachella and copacobana shows momentum......  instead she chose small venues

in terms of tour and just her pop releases i think shes kinda gotten lazy compared to the first few years of her career.

gaga couldve been as big as madonna, but shes settled to be in the top 10 of the list, not the first spot.

The fact that you judge her creativity and artistry based solely on her commercial performance is incredibly sad.

Her holy trinity is The Monster Ball 2.0, The Mayhem Ball, and Jazz & Piano.

You can’t truly understand Gaga as an artist unless you’ve been lucky enough to be physically in the room while she’s performing.

The good sis Nut only likes her noodles and butter pre-chewed for easy swallowing and digestion. Don’t mind her.

-Chromatica Ball wasn’t what anyone was expecting, but she was full throttle. Her vocals, the choreography, the vocals WHILE DOING THE INSANE CHOREOGRAPHY??
Replay/911 were full stop pop star slayage. HATE the ROM/HMH look.

- JWT was a mess imo. Just like the album, the tour’s aesthetic was inconsistent and confusing. Didn’t care for the looks, loved the rainbow hair.

-BTWB was peak. The stage, the costumes, the music, the time in her career, the relationship with the fans. 10/10

-ArtRave was great. I went to a show. Some moments were cringe (MJH, PN,). The catwalk sprawling over the crowd still blows my mind.

-MB was that bitch. Where it all started in a way. Perfect head to toe. I believe that piss colored wig will forever be THE Lady Gaga look. Love it.

-Mayhem is great. She’s clearly happier than ever. The reception it’s received makes me so happy. The aesthetic isn’t my taste, but I’m not mad. I just love that she’s having fun.

Starmie25

Bad Romance at CHROMATICA BALL was probably the most punk/metal thing she's done, along with Doritos Swinefest.
