It's definitely Top 5 from the album and would've done well as a first single like it was originally planned to be

Shame it will never get the spotlight it deserves cuz Gaga sure seems to talk about it and teased it very early on

No shade, but where has it been confirmed that SOAM was intended as the first single?

it really isn't.

I'm sorry but every time I hear the little "perfect celebrity!" I think of disney channel or some sh!t

But instrumentally, it's reigns supreme on MAYHEM (especially with the verses & outro)

Wait is this for real?

It does have Michael Jackson DNA

But if it was one of his songs, you can't deny it would have one of his better/more replay-able choruses

So why not listen & enjoy?

because i dont really enjoy the song or like when a song sounds too much like other artists, no direspect, just not my preference. makes me yearn to listen to the blueprint
my fave MJ song is butterflies

Yeah, I think the dupe argument only works if it’s a lesser version and SOAM feels like a really well done homage to MJ that I think also has enough Gaga DNA to be its own thing

Yeah I love the song including the chorus but exciting is the last word I'd use for it, it feels so low energy in a way :laughga:

Honestly, I love you guys but I can't help but feel that a lot of Gaga's best work is totally wasted on you all sometimes.

Yeah, but that jingle melody is intentional. It’s mocking the construct of the prissy celebrity princess.

You're taking it as a criticism I don't mean boring or anything

I love the song including the chorus, it's one of my favourites

Musically it rocks, I guess I mean vocally it's very chill, she's almost talking the chorus... It's not what I'd think about in terms of the most "exciting" chorus, but it is an exciting song!

I suppose, but I think it makes the song sound kind of embarrassing & juvenile (only for those milliseconds in the chorus)

Even if by design, a shame imo

Eh, I think there’s something wry and sinister about it, but to each their own :vegas: Especially when the guitars double the melody the second time around :abra:
