It's a nice break from the rest of the album and it's one of the most interesting songs she's ever done simply for how different it is Probably not that unpopular but Speechless is her best ballad and will never be topped. It's an absolutely perfect 10/10 song The EP / LP discourse is dumb and doesn't matter. The work speaks for itself and by cultural impact alone it's more than enough to count it as an album. I have other opinions but I think they are not unusual so I will leave it at that. EASILY my favorite track from TFM the abstract chanting, the almost Pixar villain-esque brass, that tension created by having the guitar hit immediately after the kick that just pulls you through the song god, what a jam My unpopular opinions: - It's a fantastic follow up to one of the best debut albums any artist has ever had. People only still hold it to high esteem because of it’s sales, back in the day I remember how much this fanbase HATED how “noisy” the songs were and how everyone only loved Monster and Telephone because they sounded the most like The Fame. The eh eh eh eh ah ah ah ah are annoying though, and they specifically sound like something French kids would do around that period to do a sarcastic laugh, and this annoys me even more. I think Alejandro is probably the best song on the EP And people now love BTW but they also forget this forum was very divided when the album dropped and the leaks happened. A lot of people thought the album sounded very messy and rushed because she recorded a lot of it while on tour, and some people just didn’t care for the new sound but here we are years later looking at it through rose colored glasses.
