Sorry I did not realize there was ethical concerns over surrogacy. My mother lost her first child at 18 months from a genetic condition and was told she could not have children ever again due to her age. She opted out of surrogacy because of fears that the condition would appear again, and so she adopted me. She then became pregnant again through a miracle and my brother and I grew up like twins and he is the healthier between the two of us.

I share this just to show you never know what someone has gone through to have children/a family and quite frankly- I think if someone wants to help others have children then there is no ethical concern. The internet wants to complain about everything until the experience happens to them and they get perspective... I think if she did go that route she should not feel afraid to share the journey because of criticism.

Tbh I don’t really think there are many legitimate ethical concerns re: surrogacy. Most of the anti-surrogacy **** I see online comes from TERFy homophobes who make the argument specifically against gay men “commodifying” a woman’s body and extracting a child like a product (which I think is ludicrous)

I know she is healthy again but we do not know what her body can handle after what life has put her through. I have always speculated she may go down a surrogacy route ever since we saw her describing her fears about pregnancy/childbirth in the Netflix documentary. However she gets it, she deserves a big family to care for because she would be an amazing mother

I mean, she also said in that same documentary she’s not afraid of getting pregnant. There are many success stories out there of women with her condition having healthy children. Of course it’s her life and her own decision, but I think if she knew her health could allow it she wouldn’t be opposed to it. She’s rich and has better medical care than most of us here

I'm not the biggest fan of the whole just needed a man in my life to be happy narative and the bullshit like my daddy is no longer worried about me cause I got a new man to protect me. Especially because the whole interview is essentially about that :crossed:

Idk, it's giving Free Woman found dead in the ditch vibe

Otherwise great photoshoot and I'm so glad she's happy after everything that she's been though. I just wish she gave more credit to herself for it, I guess.

What does the ending mean when she says she lied? She will not be Lady Gaga once she has a child?

I think that back in the day, people were really putting out and honing in the narrative that Lady Gaga was a character and a farse, and it wasn't who she really was, so i think that back in the day she said these out there statements to counter and rebel against these narratives and make people understand that she was being genuine throughout all the artifice, it was in fact a lie to make a point, an exaggeration if u will, as it was a lie that she would never wear flats, it was about the sentiment of never wearing them as Lady Gaga

Is this on stands yet? I need to get a copy.

I read it somewhere in this thread that it should hit stands on 2 December, but Casa Magazines in NYC received copies exclusively.

I agree. I can acknowledge that I just prefer Chromatica sonically over Mayhem. It’s a bias to that genre, sure.
With that said, I will not accept the narrative that Mayhem has better writing. All this talk of metaphors and poetry is silly. Most* of Mayhem has nothing to offer lyrically. Zombieboy, GOE, DCT, LoveDrug…I love them, they’re acceptable songs, but they don’t say much metaphorically or not. Call me stupid, but the few lyrics I would call poetic are still hard to decipher at times with or without context from interviews or just being a fan. Yeah, Chromatica is literal but it explores more thoughts and emotions PERIOD. Gaga herself said at one point that Mayhem is about a crazy night out and that’s honestly all I get from a major chunk of the album.

I think most of her discography has better lyricism than Mayhem. As much as this fanbase loves to **** on Joanne and Chromatica, they remain lyrically superior.

Some of Mayhem’s songs don’t really say anything. :traumatica: What this album does have over them is production.

love Gaga, but I do feel like she is so so dependent on Michael, it's a little contradictory to all the Free Women, Sheisse vibes she always was vocal about. I am happy she is happy, but she needs to credit herself more!!!

I have to agree with some people on here, as much as it’s great she’s found someone who makes her happy she should credit herself for her success!

Her best photoshoot in years my god

agreed. her best since the chromatica paper mag shoot.

now I emphasized that one picture because I can’t get over how insane it would be if Mayhem cover was that pic with the Mayhem font (seen in the gif header of this page) in black placed next to her waist or some interesting position.

even tho I GREW to love the Vogue-ish quality about the actual cover. it’s so enigmatic and introspective.

but this look or all of them for Vanish Into You music video with wind?

:nooo:

Love will do it to you. None of us know their relationship. We hardly know either of them as individuals. She could be cautious of how much she credits him, but she doesn’t have to, and it could very well be that he really is her soul mate and has been that pivotal to her own healing. I think some of us get too comfortable policing her image.
PLUS we can’t pretend that her relationships haven't always held a lot of weight, which is normal.
