Absolutely not  Taylor is very conventional in everything she does artistically and in the way she presents herself. Even her beauty is conventional. Everything is easily digestible for the public, especially for young people, so she gains more and more fans as time goes by.

Gaga is the opposite of that. All her albums are drastically different (Taylor has also tried different things, but they’re always in the shallow of the risk), her dance music is sometimes aggressive, her lyrics are very metaphorical and therefore hardly accessible for many, she’s unconventionally beautiful, is known for wearing bizarre outfits and making many people uncomfortable, she often uses her visibility to speak out on divisive topics…

So no, Gaga wouldn’t stand a chance to beat Taylor commercially in the age of blandness, in a time where colors literally disappear in culture.
