Kayla 7,595
Out of all the songs from Logan's list I think Paradise is my favorite. I do incredibly love The Scientist though. I think Coldplay is an amazing band, but the star here is Martin. He's a great songwriter, and I actually love his voice too. Even if it's not that special . One bad thing about most bands is that it's usually only the lead singer who REALLY gets recognized. How many people here can name the other members of Coldplay? (Logan probably can!) Logan 20,569
One bad thing about most bands is that it's usually only the lead singer who REALLY gets recognized. How many people here can name the other members of Coldplay? (Logan probably can!) Yeah, but you'll get that with a lot of bands. Paramore is a good example. Not many people know anyone besides Haley. Kind of in a hurry right now. I had a look at the song titles and here is my review brought to the very core: Coldplay are flawless. Both sonically and visually, they create on highest level. They surely know how to push the boundaries of their own niche even though I would not categorize them as revolutionary. Whatever they touch, it is brilliant and so are those wonderfully selected songs. I love how they are popular but underground at the same time :)

Her voice just had has (her music will never die) that quirk to it that was so effortless and so beautiful. Its a bit of an obvious fan favourite, but Back to Black is my favourite song, that and Tears Dry On Their Own.

Its a bit of an obvious fan favourite, but Back to Black is my favourite song, that and Tears Dry On Their Own. It's amazing how iconic and timeless she is considered with only two studio albums. So many artists - Lily Allen, Adele, Florence & The Machine, Jessie J and even Gaga - have self-confessed that they would not be here without her impact on the industry. Back To Black is actually my all time favourite album, it's such a masterpiece and I can't even begin to explain how much it has impacted my life. Tears Dry On Their Own is probably my all time favourite song, too. :hehe:
Kayla 7,595
I wish Amy wouldn't have passed away. :( I think, especially now with the way Adele's gotten so popular, that her music would have started to get more recognized too. Beautiful voice, shame it won't be heard live anymore.
80sirishlegend 0
I think her passing is all the sadder in that she was trying so hard to get herself on the straight and narrow and finally seemed to believe in her talent.
Fluorine 0
I regrettably didn't pay much attention to her before her death, but all the media coverage that week made me finally sit down and listen to her songs. She really was tremendously talented, even if her music isn't something that I'm in the mood to listen to every day. I think I prefer "Frank" to "Back To Black" --- I love her attitude on that one! brdn08 12
Amy Winehouse is the definition of what's right in music. I truly believe if a great singer makes the music that they feel then success will follow. It's sad she never found peace but it's ironic that her was the spark that fueled her fame. Anyone can sing a happy song but it's truly a gift when you can convey heartbreak in a song. That list doesn't include most of my fave Amy Winehose songs. She doesn't get the credit she deserves as a songwriter. Some Unholy War is my favorite song she has ever done.
Foster 23
I'm not a huge Any fan, but I love a lot of her work. "You Know I'm No Good" is probably my favorite song of hers.
