There's no hypocrisy at all.

Israel never signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and as a result is not bound by it. The same as India and Pakistan, both of whom have their own nuclear arsenals as non-signatories. Iran, meanwhile, did sign the NPT, and are held to a higher standard because they did. If Iran wants to develop a nuclear arsenal, they should withdraw from the NPT, but won't do that because they know it'll only tank their international reputation further. You can't have your cake and eat it.

On top of that, Israel is a liberal democracy (however flawed it is, it still is one) and Iran is an authoritarian theocracy. It's obvious why Iran is held to a different standard, just as Japan or Australia would be held to a different standard to Venezuela or Belarus.

Sorry but this post is similar to the MAGA narrative, when they say things like “homophobia has lost its meaning” because “everything is homophobic for the gays”.

Antisemitism exist and right now is on the rise, it exist in the left, far left wing and the LGBTQ+ community, because people  consider anything with connection to Israel as “zionist”.

You may be able to separate jews from israel but you can’t separate judaism from Israel, so the line is very thin.

Also Jews is not defined only by religion.

Gay Pride in Rome, the truck of the Jewish Gay Italian association was cursed, spitted, people surrounded them with the Palestinian flag and called them murderers. Felt very much like a MAGA fascist rally.

I love my country, I do struggle with it daily, sometimes I hate it so much, but it’s still my home, but I don’t want to be shamed because I walk with the flag, I speak my language or simply says “I from Israel”.

No offense, but now I hope you, on some level, understand how other people have felt when you’ve very callously said **** like this about Americans and mocked them for being offended (often insinuating that getting offended by anti-American sentiment is “MAGA behavior”), because I agree with you that people shouldn’t be shamed because of the decisions of their government. It’s absolutely wrong to hate or harass Israelis or Jews because of the horrific behavior of the Israeli government. Americans are not all MAGA in the same way that Israelis are not all colonial Zionists.

On a serious note, it is a bit different when Mr. Troll Mod goes off about 'Muricans 'cause we're not an ethnic group nor is "anti-Americanism" a prejudice (like racism) vs when Israel's horrific actions cause antisemitism to spike worldwide.

That's why I'll continue to stress that we all hate Israel because of the government's actions. It has nothing to do with them being Jewish and we shouldn't allow them to hide behind their faith/race 'cause that just does a disservice to the millions of Jews that actively speak out against genocide, occupation, colonization, etc.

I've expressed that I'm lowkey annoyed by the slamming of Americans and the whataboutisms when Israel is criticized but...to be fair, he hasn't said anything incorrect that I know of

Thank you. It feels like every minority is allowed to define what they consider to be prejudice and hatred except for Jews. It's always 'listen to the gays' when it comes to what counts as homophobia, and 'listen to women' when it comes to what counts as misogyny, but the minute it comes to antisemitism, it feels like everyone else feels entitled to define what it means for us.

I get it, but he’s definitely made generalizations in areas where it really has nothing to do with foreign policy and was mostly rooted in petty stereotyping lol. Good for you for the J card, I reserve the right to find it annoying and rude lmao. Also I get that there’s an ethnic component re:Israel and I ofc denounce the implication that the behavior of the Israeli government somehow justifies legitimate antisemitism, but that doesn’t really *change* the underlying principle that people shouldn’t make those kinds of generalizations and that, to the point he made in the post of his I was responding to, having pride in one’s country doesn’t amount to mindless nationalism and wanting to express that doesn’t make you a fascist/zionist etc.

I completely agree with you! Im jewish and don't find this offensive at all.. **** is off the rocker and its new nationalism which we see too in places like Germany.

You are 100% right. And it just demostrates the damage caused by the far right extremists in power in Israel. They have deliberately wrapped themselves in the Star of David and some go out of their way to almost perform charicatures of being a jew to outsiders to increase the global society's mental perception of Israeli government = all of Judaism. 

Its a deliberate strategy that's worked exactly as they want. Opponents can often go too far and rubbish any claim of antisemitism even when its blatant jew hatred, which as a result pushes people away from opposition movements.
