i'm sympathetic because she's clearly stunted from being a child star and so she's living that teenage exploration phase in her 20s since she finally has some freedom

but it kinda stinks because she used being part of the LGBTQ+ as a way to re-launch her career and look for support for her music career only to very publicly reverse it very quickly... or this is all just a HUGE pr stunt played by both her and chris for attention

The way people are acting like she has turned straight for dating a man is crazy. Miley Cyrus herself has called herself bisexual/pansexual and she has only dated men since then so I really don’t understand why that was even a joke to begin with, maybe joke about her cheating but why are we making jokes about a 22 year old’s sexuality?

Jojo doesn’t have to mold her sexuality or change who she falls in love with based on the political climate just because she’s famous. It’s so inhumane to treat her like that and it proves how biphobia is so prevalent in the queer community, specifically towards women.

Yeah I am conflicted. I don't support Jojo over her problematic behaviors (supporting Colleen and putting the XOMG kids through a bad work environment), but some of the talk is giving me bi-erasure vibes. I get that people have an issue since Jojo basically cheated, but I get worried when I feel like people mold this into something else.

It's conflicting for me...  on one hand, I find it so funny when celebs can't take a joke.  Like you signed up to be parodied and joked about!!!! It comes with being public!

On the other, Maybe I shouldn't reduce someone else's hurt, and maybe Miley hit an insecure spot.  So yeah, if I was Miley, I would still apologize privately.

This girl has been the punching bag of the internet this year, so I don't blame her for being annoyed. Especially since Miley has been all over the map with her sexuality (which is fine and healthy and normal) And for me, this whole discourse around her sexuality now that she is dating a man is SOOO dangerous. If you date a man, now you lose your place in your community? Just let people love for gods sake, it's not that difficult or confusing. 

Honestly, the lighthearted bashing of her when she started her "Karma" era I could tolerate, but this sexuality bashing is not funny and extremely damaging to younger people who are still exploring and changing in their sexuality.

Honestly, the "left" leaning side of the internet has become a huge, hypocritical mess tbh. They have the "strongest values for acceptance and love" but are the first to hop on a wave and not think twice about destroying a person if it fits a narrative that makes sense to them. Maybe I'm being over the top, but it is extremely frustrating to see
