Lewis Hamilton honored the legacy of Black icons in fashion by putting up a significant amount of money himself for this year’s Met Gala.

While serving as a co-chair at the 2025 Met Gala, the 40-year-old Formula 1 superstar purchased his own table and invited a group of acclaimed Black women in the arts and entertainment world.

His guests included Lauryn Hill, Regina King, Jordan Casteel, Ming Smith, Adrienne Warren, Danielle Deadwyler, Lorna Simpson and Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Radhika Jones. source
