If you gathered 100 engineers in a room and asked them to design a song that would be a ginormous global smash summer hit, appealing to every demographic out there, it would sound very like Vanish Into You. I'd say when Gaga and the crew finished it and played it back for the first time they probably sat in stunned silence for a few seconds and then cracked open the champagne. We're nearly into summer now. Just release it from its cage (I was gonna say release the beast but I don't want to cause any confusion).

Ugh you guys are so boring wtf. We've begged for dark industrial Gaga for years now and now she's got an album full of that you guys pick the most tame bubblegum options for singles

VIY is cute but just bland, and HBDUWM is too much of a basic sell out and Swifty impersonation.

I'd rather GOE or even better SOAM. Hell I'd even take Killah or Zombieboy if it came down to it. I want dark interesting Gaga, with sick twisted artistic music videos. She can save the cute pop bobs when she's old and desperate. For now bring back the thrill and edge. Pop music is tame enough rn without Gaga going tame to. 

I don't understand why Gaga fans of all people are so obsessed with commercial success over bold individuality. You'd rather Gaga blend in with the masses purely for the sake of popularity rather than stand out as something unique and striking, and that's not what Gaga is about imo.

VIY is far from bland  

Single choices should be about commercial success? That's literally the entire reason singles exist: promotion.

Nothing's stopping her from making the cute bop an official single and still making videos for the other songs on the album just 'cause she wanted to.

Don't you think the tonal change from Disease & Abracadabra to Vanish would be refreshing & give the era a more well-rounded feel in hindsight, though?

I also selfishly want to gatekeep certain songs (SOAM, PC, LD) as fan-favorites.. even though I think they would be well-received lol

I love all three of them and though I CRAVE a GOE music video, I would be happy with a video for any (all) of the tracks from Mayhem. But I also agree Vanish Into You I think has the most potential for success with the GP.

Even though GOE is my favorite of the three I've seen others say it's one of their least favorites and I think VIY is the least divisive of those three when it comes to general opinions.

But come on now please give us the full Mayhem visual album motion picture cinema masterpiece 🙏

Yes, also, I think the VIY segment at the shows was clearly planned to create viral moments on social media. There's definitely thought put into which song is used to engage with fans during live-streamed shows

As long as we get a music video I'm happy with whatever, although I've been craving for the longest time for her to direct something less dancey and more twisted so Killah and PC would fit right in with that. What I wish even more is for there to be a G.U.Y type short film with multiple songs (the beast please the visuals would eat me out  )
