Actually it make sense and I would love it if that’s the case. Her good old friend that meant and means so much for her. He came into her life and helped her a lot when she was at her worst

Kinda off-topic but she said in the Las Culturistas podcast that HBDUWM isn't about Michael and now I'm wondering who it is about. Carino?

There are also some other songs in the album that cannot be about Michael imo, LoveDrug, Don't Call Tonight, even Vanish Into You.

Well, obviously not. She have said it's about Michael on recent interviews, how his presence made her happier and sometimes she just wanna vanish into him.

Besides what kind of people keeps picture of their friends on their bedside? You just don't do that by the unwritten social code, it's giving creepy vibe, cos you'd only put your parents, children, and lover/spouse pictures there.

I don't take many of the songs as being autobiographical, but probably still inspired by moments in a relationship. She probably just crafted many well written and produced pop songs.

She said "no" in a sarcastic way so I think it's actually about Michael but she was shy to admit it in the moment.

I think Don’t Call Tonight is about her dad. Looking in the mirror and seeing his eyes, the way he talks about her in the press etc
