It’s part of their developmental process and their need for predictability. Knowing exactly what’s coming next makes them feel safe. The same applies to all kinds of media. They’ll happily watch the same videos on repeat over and over again. From that perspective, being part of a children’s movie soundtrack isn’t a bad career move at all. That said, kids can be surprisingly picky, so not every song ends up clicking with them. Ava has a pleasant voice, and her music isn’t overly complex, which probably makes it very easy for children to enjoy. If that helps her label recoup its investment and keeps them willing to support her career, then it’s a win for everyone involved. I don’t really follow her closely, but I definitely don’t want to see her fail. I actually smile whenever one of her songs comes up on one of my playlists, and I’d love to see her keep releasing fun, carefree pop music.
