lasagna 2,615 Posted Friday at 03:40 AM Share Posted Friday at 03:40 AM (edited) dont drag me for this but in my opinion... unfortunately, no. as a fan since the fame whos loved all her albums upon release its her most disappointing studio album for me the good songs are some of the best of her career (perfect celebrity, garden of eden, killah, shadow of a man) but the album is distractingly messy. zombieboy, the beast, how bad do u want me, and - i hate to say it cuz i know she loves it but - blade of grass are laughably bad/beyond dull. on top of that ive no idea why so much of it is disco inspired given the visual direction of the album. it's not remotely dark pop + heavy beats past the first 4 songs so i really dont understand why it was promoted as that. that combined with the visuals for the album which make no sense when you actually listen to the album.. ive honestly no idea what they were thinking. its not bad, but its certainly not her best. its a mess in the best and (unfortunately) the worst way Spoiler edit: i wanna end on a high note actually i think the album will grow on me. perfect celebrity is absolutely insane. i've been dying for her to record a rock/grunge album for so long and now that i've heard this i wont rest until she does a rock album i was right she'd absolutely body rock. killahs incredible i cant believe she finally cleared the fame sample from bowie 😭 shadow of a man needs to be a single. to me this is the clearest hit she could ever have like theres nothing wrong w the song its incredibly catchy and danceable its insanely addictive. even though i have my issues with this album i cant deny these three are immediately top 10 all time gaga songs and i admire the risks she took on the album regardless of how i feel about said risks lol Edited Friday at 03:48 AM by lasagna 4 1 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
