She has always seemed extremely passionate about every era. The only times when fans talk about lack of promo is usually caused by unforeseen circumstances.

She had kind of checked out during Chromatica, and honestly, we could tell. She has spoken how it wasn't her best time mentally, and how her passion was reawakened once she finally got to tour it, and how Michael saw how happy she was performing and encouraged her to go full pop for this era.
