I’m really glad they decided to bring Sarah back. I would’ve rioted if they did it without her.

River

Eh I’m scared that it would be like a mentor-student kind of plot and then from half season we will be stuck with a new girl, probably her daughter, and buffy would be in one room in every scene

Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass

I loved Buffy when I was a kid/teen - I also watched Angel which was a spin off

not sure if it's a good idea for a reboot tho

Still a rumor, luckily.

Buffy is my all time favorite series, I've watched it no less than 30 times in different languages, own comics, games, books and collectibles. But the truth is that what made it great was Joss Whedon's writing; without him, I doubt they could recreate the magic

Buffy is my all time favourite too 😊

I’ve always said a anthology series would work great have each season based on a slayer throughout time

or

have each episode a different slayer throughout time and something brings them all together for a battle like the avengers could be willow and buffy that need their help idk but I want a continuation but done well

joss wasn’t the only good writer a lot of episodes were written by Jane epson im pretty sure the last name is spelled wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️ she also wrote on glee

An anthology a la 'tales of the slayers' would be amazing, but here they are talking about a sequel (by the way, the official ig Buffy page posted the story too, so I guess there is some merit to it).

I know joss was not the only great writer there, but overall it was his story, his ideas, his allegories. I will remain a tad skeptical and scared, but would obvious watch it.

Oh well, time to read again 'Buffy the last vampire slayer' today, just to celebrate

Yeah I was thinking tales of the slayers or like it’s another big bad and they need slayers throughout time one of them is a older buffy and throw in fray as well but I’m down for more either way

Gimme More

SARAH JUST CONFIRMED!!

So….. you might have heard some news this week, but I realize you haven’t heard from me.

Three years ago, I got a call from my dear friend and mentor, Gail Berman. She told me that she wanted me to sit down with Chloé Zhao to hear her take on a potential “Buffy” revival. I was blown away that Chloé even knew who I was, but, as I’ve always done, I told Gail that I just didn’t see a way for the show to exist again. We’d always been aligned on that, but this time I heard something different in her voice. I eventually agreed to go (mainly just to meet Chloé) and our twenty minute coffee quickly turned into a four hour adventure. We laughed, we cried, but mostly we both talked about how much this show means to us.

While I didn’t agree to anything at that meeting, I did shock myself by agreeing to continue the conversation. These conversations did, in fact, continue over the next few years and eventually we added the incredible Nora and Lilla Zuckerman to our little tribe until ultimately, one day, we landed on an idea.

I have always listened to the fans and heard your desire to revisit “Buffy” and her world, but it was not something I could do unless I was sure we would get it right. This has been a long process, and it’s not over yet. I promise you, we will only make this show if we know we can do it right. And I will tell you that we are on the path there.

I feel so lucky to be on this journey with these four unbelievably talented women, all of whom love “Buffy” as much as I do. And as much as you do. Thank you to all the fans who never stopped asking for this. This will be for you.

Nite

I've always been a bit afraid of someone rebooting Buffy and ruining it because it feels like today's TV wouldn't be able to live up to what Buffy was and what it meant back then. But if Sarah's involved herself, who's always been critical about it, it's probably really in good hands :kara:

Ugh, I love buffy and it's TV ending was perfect, I'm so afraid they're going to ruin it.

I've also read the follow up comics (most, but not finished) and I'm 99.9% sure that they're going to ignore them and I hate that because they're supposed to be canon:crossed:
