She probably feels more affected since she lives in California. The reason labels are delaying album drops isn’t because of the fire, but because the album wouldn’t get as much attention. If there wasn’t a fire, they’d still release it, because people are used to multiple wars happening all over the world. They’re not delaying anything out of respect.

I think at least she might have to change something with the rollout, because remember when she wrote "Hollywood is a ghost town" ??

I find it a bit odd. Not to be insensitive to the locals but disasters that kill more people are literally happening constantly. This gets so much attention because #1 its in USA and #2 in in LA and Hollywood Capital

 

I do feel bad for the ppl there but not more so than other people in other places and their lives arent more valuable just because its an Elite area

 

If we dont cancel releases for flooding in Germany, Fires in Australia or the genocide flare ups in Palestine why because of a few burnt Mansions in LA?

 

Anyway celebs are terrified of cancel culture so of course many will delay releases (even if they dont really want to).

The labels are made of employees directly affected by the fires, including Gaga.

For LA- where most of the music industry is located, it’s ground zero. 

Over 10,000 structures have been lost, 57,000 at risk, 90,000 homes are without power and utilities, 160,000 ordered to evacuate, and much of LA is on high alert.

Perhaps but... its not a factory plant most of this stuff is held digitally. Ud think releases can still be done

I must be getting old because I don't care if it gets delayed. Just let she release it and then we can enjoy what we get. I'm more aiming for a tour, especially if she visits Czech Republic or Poland

No I think your right, I’m sure it could be done, but so many contributions from people who did the work are probably affected. 

The release of an album is a celebratory event, and the people making those contributions are affected by a disaster. As an artist, I’m sure it would feel terrible to leave those people behind.

The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and other big artists can afford to wait until the people who packaged and delivered their albums get a semblance of life back before they release.
