faysalaaa 3,983
So im sure she always knew the difference between Latino and Latina, but she seems still confused! is she acting confused on purpose to not embarrass herself and change the subject? juicyjuicy 1,978
I’m still confused. Why was it funny/wrong? I don’t speak Spanish.

I believe it’s because she also doesn’t speak Spanish despite putting a lot of emphasis on being of Latin American decent. I’ve seen a lot of people calling her a fake Latina 4

I don’t speak Spanish. it is wrong gramatically and it just sounds wrong, in spanish we gender everything and we dont have a gender neutral pronouns like "the" and so we gender adjectives too. So for specific words that dont have gender attached like "gente" we put femenine pronoums "La" so it is "la gente" and if it were to have adjectives it would be femenine too, so the correct way to say it is "Mi gente Latina" Edited January 8 by MadArchitect 2

Yet most under age 40 speak Portuguese terribly because it was their grandparents that moved to Canada in the 1970s and 1980s and since then Portuguese immigration has mostly died and every one my age speaks the language badly because they were already raised here I see nothing wrong with loving ur roots even if your strength as a member of that culture is questionable and amateur

I agree but why is that a requirement? If u dont speak a language super well ur not allowed to be proud of ur cultural heritage? I just dont see why one negates the other
Miky 9,477
Americans are too obsessed with these things lmao. Literally nobody else cares where you are from, if you speak the language or whatever Too many people here with moral superiority complex.
Davidsdaze 231
lol this is funny. Everyone’s acting like you haven’t stuttered or mispronounced something while speaking to a big audience. Surprise! It happens in other languages as well.

I as far as I know, she’s never given back to the Bronx and to the people she exploits. She doesn’t come off as genuine in any way shape or form when it comes to shouting out her roots Religion is a product to sell.
