If the current statewide numbers posted by Gabby Birenbaum are correct and everyone votes within party lines, the independents would have to break for Kamala by over 13%. Very rough number that doesn’t include the mythical Clark county mail votes from today. Dems suffering from low turnout in that state.  They need their in-person numbers to increase.

Michigan polling found a decisive majority (55% of voters) found Trump’s political views “too extreme.”

Similarly, a North Carolina exit poll found a majority of voters (51%) found him to be “too extreme.”

This isn't unheard of tbh. Again, Nevada has automatic registration and when you don't specify a party you're automatically marked as unaffiliated.

When being an independent isn't an active decision for voters in a state we can't say they won't swing wildly towards one side.

That number is very very rough. Dems will chip away at it for the remainder of the day but tbh I don’t like their odds this election. Republicans are just having a great showing.

Although I am sure most of us are aware, as polls start to close and we start to get results in - it's important to remember the Red Mirage and the Blue Shift.

Republican voters tend to live in more sparsely populated areas and Democrats in more densely populated areas.

Republican leaning county's will have their votes counted faster, as there are far less votes to count. These results will then be reported, showing what seems like a significant lead for Republicans.

The Blue Shift will occur as the larger populated areas have their votes counted and reported on.

It's faster to count 2,500 votes in a small county than 1,000,000 votes in a large county.
