The Weeknd‘s upcoming film “Hurry Up Tomorrow” will get worldwide theatrical distribution from Lionsgate. The musically-driven psychological thriller which stars Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan is directed by Trey Edward Shults (“Waves”).

The film is produced by Tesfaye’s Manic Phase and Reza Fahim along with the late Kevin Turen and Harrison Kreiss. It is executive produced by Ortega, Shults, Michael Rapino, Ryan Kroft, Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, and Harrison Huffman.

The film is an extension of The Weeknd’s upcoming album of the same title, which stands alongside the film’s score by The Weeknd and Daniel Lopatin.

I feel like The Weeknd, or Abel if I may, is the only popstar that is trying these days

edit: actually I reflected a little bit more and Billie is trying too.

I feel like, at least in music video terms, Billie has for sure stopped trying with her latest era

King of the Fall

I was kinda worried about this album cycle when Dancing In The Flames was the first single but Timeless was great and Sao Paulo was decent so fingers crossed that the album/film is going to be up to his usual high standard. Seems like they tie into each other to such an extent that it's really all the same project

I seem to be the only person that likes Dancing In The Flames. I still have to watch what was it called ummmm The Idol. Yeah that was recommended to me.

Billie clearly loves making music first and doesn't really care much about MVs

In her early career she had some shocking value to her videos but production wise they were always lower budget

She always tries to tell a story though which is nice and very reflective of her style
