Everyone here giving tips on how to "properly" listen to the song :icant:

I will listen to it the way I want to :queenga:

Monsters can stream however you want! This is for chart monsters who wants to stream while also actively help DISEASE grow on the charts, at the end of day stream however you want, you enjoying the song is what matters most.

Ugh so apparently continuous listening is bad even thought we are absolutely jamming out to it. On Spotify, It has to be in a playlist, three different songs between each play, songs must be by a different artist, and volume must be at least at 50% :motherofpuppies:

Wow, so I guess the near 100 times I listened to it are only gonna count as one single measly stream? Is there anything else we can do other than buying on iTunes and streaming?

Spotify only counts 20 listens per user every day I think so don’t be too bothered about the filter rate gays we’re all bound to stream it more than 20 times a day anyway :poot:

But if you repeat the song on the loop still counts? Or does it have to be 20 times in between other ones?

we were truly writing think pieces of gaga's team marketing choices when we don't even know how to stream :traumatica:

I do it the latter way. You can check all the rules here - blinks laid it out very clearly :sis:

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

How do they track volume? :enigma:

It’s not the volume, it’s the sequences

This is good and I believe it will grow organically. Here's hoping for a top 10 debut!

no this is Global. Unfiltered means it includes streams that are spammed which are likely caused by monsters who repeat the song over and over again. I know the song sounds good but if you spam the song, Spotify will filter which we ended up with 4.4M Global. The filter rate is crazy which means monsters have been spamming the song and streaming wrongly. We could’ve def do better! Only filtered streams count for charts, unfiltered does not.

You got a source for this? :oprah: Filtered streams at least count for certifications and sales.

This is news to me. So they don’t count if you have the song on repeat?? Even if I’m actually listening to it on repeat??? Wtf

They do count, if you aren't actually acting like a bot. They have methods and AI to detect bot streams. Every stream counts for certifications/unit sales, not sure if Billboard counts unfiltered.

No, it’s considered artificial streaming.

Definitely not 100% true, that's just hearsay and we do not know the real answer.

And how does this work?

Do I have to listen to two or three songs in between, in full, or just a minute or seconds of it?

If I listen to the first two choruses, then change to another songs, does those two minutes of Disease count as a play?

So many questions.

Spotify Charts have a cap, it's 20 streams/user/song/day as far as we know, can't be sure about that, but every stream counts for unfiltered and certifications.

not the high filter rate ☠️

It's not even that high... ROM had 6M filtered streams -> 10M unfiltered :awkney:

There is no clear answer to that since Spotify never revealed its methods, but if you act like a human, it will count all your streams and may filter if the gap actually is 20 streams/day/song/user.

Just a hearsay, afaik it's been debunked that it tracks volume levels, only if you muted from the app. They have no way to track PC volumes, so you can mute your headphones or speakers or from Windows volume mixer and Spotify won't notice that. :yennefer:

I DID TAP THAT SYMBOL AND IT STILL STARTED PLAYING RANDOM SONGS AFTER THE PLAYLIST WAS OVER ANYWAY I SWEAR IT DIDN'T WORK :cryga:

I was using the browser tho I guess I'll try the app instead, but I still think Spotify deliberately framed me specifically :cyanlights:

It should work whether you’re using the browser or the app. Kinda dumb question, but did you tap the correct play button? Sometimes I tap the play to a song that’s in the playlist instead of the playlist itself, and then it plays random songs once the playlist is over.

So, this is the playlist. Make sure you tap this play button. That way only your playlist will be playing:

According to Spotify, bot streams do not earn royalties and do not count toward public stream numbers or charts. So I think it doesn’t count for certifications?

True, there’s a lot of hearsay about it and we don’t know how their internal systems work. But it seems plausible that AI will consider an artificial stream a song that’s been played 30x non stop.

What kind of nonsense do they write, do not use a VPN, that is, if while listening to music I have a VPN turned on in parallel, my listening will not count? Is this official information from Spotify? This is absurd, because a person can automatically have a VPN enabled for different purposes.

Guys please stream it properly and don’t repeat the song when streaming, I know the song is addictive asf but y’all gotta stream at least 2 or 3 songs when after listening to DISEASE. We could’ve debuted Top 5 in Spotify Global. The energy is there, the execution is not 😭

Amazon Prime Video Gretchen GIF by Prime Video BR

I’ve tried to do this but every time I get bored and go back to just replaying it on its own, it’s so addictive and I just want to enjoy it!! Trust me, however we stream it, if enough people love it it’ll have success and longevity
