But the fact that there’s no GP awareness is a little concerning. How did you measure "no GP awareness"? Anyway, I don't think there is usually high GP awareness pre-single releases. Maybe for an album? But singles, I think people mostly find out on release day when word of mouth spreads and they see it in their feeds. Even poor Iggy Azalea was able to pull high budget videos by herself. Gaga is fine. If the song is catchy enough, it will be recognized by the GP. Even Bloody Mary had its moment after one decade of release. You all act like Gaga was this C List singer who needs to prove herself every new era. She does not. She’s an established icon (whether u agree or not), she just did a sold out stadium tour, she was chosen to be the lead in a major Warner Bros movie, and DWAS is smashing in all countries. So, its really possible to just enjoy the music and the era, it’s just a matter if u are here for the music or for the charts (aka Taylor swift fans).
