Have you ever heard of Wilton Manors, FL? It’s one of the largest LGBTQIA+ community in the US.

Not all Floridians are happy with the state or all Republicans. We just have some whack job as a governor and a lot of crazy republican areas. 
 

We should be fighting like hell to win Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona.

I don't think Kamala should be diverting serious funding here but the polls and anecdotal instances like the Villages having a huge Kamala rally make me hopeful

I doubt we can give her the state but it's definitely in play and that's exciting

Anywho, I know how people love to drag Florida for becoming so red, but that’s kinda understandable with all the right-wing old northerners moving there. What’s crazy to me is how Iowa and Ohio became so deep red in just two election cycles. Weren’t they part of the blue wall before? 💀

Israel's agreed to a ceasefire. Imagine if Hamas accepts and Kamala's able to "announce" it

But also image a ceasefire period...I don't know the full details of the deal yet, can't seem to find specifics yet. It seems like it might be the version that gives Israel "control" over the passage between Gaza and Egypt but gives Hamas a number of demands they had months ago.

If it'll stop all the death, Hamas has no choice but to accept it. You can debate about territorial control later, just bring this all to a close already. Once a peace has been brokered, rebuilding can begin.

Its hard for people to vote for the "better of two evils" version that will result in the death of their country and families. Even if you dont think its rational, some peoples values dont allow them to play into the system of of death and genocide.

Imagine if there was no protest and backlash from the Muslim community, and all of them were happy to give their vote because shes the better of two evils. Kamala wont feel pressured to solve the issue and she will feel safe to ignore the issue. So its important to have one issue voters as a way to protest and pressure politicians. Specially now that Muslims have alot of power as they live in an important state that can effect the election.

I don't think this is true but also I don't think they shouldn't protest. It's fine to continue pushing the Democratic party on securing safety for Palestinians.

What I find idiotic is abstaining from voting for the candidate that wants to solve the problem and (if Hamas accepts the deal currently on the table) has already taken a huge step in doing so.

Again, these people want an arms embargo which is 100000% not happening. It's not feasible and it's not safe. It's not a realistic solution. It will not happen. As soon as the US hypothetically does that, we step away from the negotiation talks as the mediator and any diplomacy that exists vanishes immediately. 

The Israeli government is let off its leash to go full tilt into Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and wherever else they wanna go and Israeli citizens are put at risk from surrounding groups and nations that hate Israel.

It's a non-solution and would cause demonstrably more death.

The Biden/Harris administration is quite literally on the only path to peace there is.

Protesters know their demands wont be 100% met, they just set the bar high to what they ideally want, so we can find a good middle in negotiating. Im sure any real effort from Kamala will make the protestors happy to vote for her. Eventually they will all vote for her, they are just trying to preassure her more. Voting and abstaining from voting are both important ways to effect political change. Im not saying everyone should do it, but it makes sense for the Muslim community to show what is a red line for them.

Idk, I don't disagree with you per se I'm just not willing to bet my own domestic concerns, my own civil rights, the continuation of American democracy, AND the very existence of Palestine on appeasing a bunch of people who call Kamala a "killer" and then expect her to hear them out on their message.

I value pragmatism and reality. Kamala's already on a direct path to Palestinian safety and eventual independence. They should be helping her, not fighting her every step of the way.

It's like the gay community fighting for civil unions as a stepping stone to full marriage equality.

They should be fighting with her for the ceasefire as the first step to untangling this entire sh*t show.
