I need Gaga’s team to follow Taylor’s team cause Gaga’s catalog has potential to grow alot as proven with Judas, BM, ARUTW etc. I know Taylor’s Re-recordings has helped her alot but the momentum she has built to remain relevant always astounds me. I’m not expecting Gaga to Re-peak again like her TFM era but I just need her streaming game to join with her other contemporaries like Taylor, Rihanna etc. cause I know she can Payola

She used that vulnerable time for a lot of people very wisely, crafting a personal album (two albums, actually) that spoke to many at the time (me included lol). and then she reintroduced herself to a new younger (!!!) audience with the re-recordings! like I’ve said before in here, you can’t have a big streaming debut today without a huge loyal younger fanbase (cause it’s them who stream songs non-stop no matter what). She’s also been playing the social media game VERY smart, making people engage with her songs, lots of rumors about her public relationships, feuds with other celebs, friendships etc. her Midnights tracklist reveal on tiktok was genius tbh, so much fun! so, yeah, her team is amazing at what they do, probably the best in the whole industry tbh. From her music, to her lyrics to her image, she has a much more marketable catalogue than Gaga, who is still regarded by plenty as too weird or too sexual or too gay and not to mention that Taylor's rerecordings and constant releasing helps draw lots of new young listeners (who let's face it, stream the most) and keep those already in the loop engaged further.
Hyperobject 66,768
like, we saw how Wednesday made soooo many young people fall in love with Bloody Mary, those anime edits made Judas go viral! which tells us that Gaga’s earlier tracks do resonate with the younger audience… but what has her team done to capitalize on that? lol. nothing. 2 2

I think if Gaga still engages with the public, have people talking about her, be consistent at releasing albums (aka releasing her body of work every 2 years at longest) she can keep herself relevant amongst the younger target audience tbh because i can see the potential. Gen Z is clearly interested with her discography (BM, JUDAS etc.) so i can see her do a taylor move too if she wants. but yeah Taylor is just on another level of relevancy at this point, undisputed. Gaga will never be on Taylor’s level simply because Gaga doesn’t exploit her private life to get people’s attention, which I personally respect! but that doesn’t mean that her team has to sit still and watch her monthly listeners free fall, just because Gagz doesn’t want to share her most personal moments with the audience lol. Gen Z is clearly on board with Gaga’s early weird artsy persona and they should take advantage of that! and inb4 anyone comes for me with the arts not charts bullshit take it to another thread, thank you very much!!! Gaga is still a mainstream pop artist and her career should be managed as one IMO. Edited September 3 by plane jane 4 1
