If she isn’t and even if she gets the nomination at the democratic convention, this doesn’t count as the incumbency key. Essentially if she doesn’t get given it it’s already over and Trump has won. Trump's gonna win now" Make the most out of this and F*CKING VOTE for whoever the Democratic nominee is. I never thought this would happen to be honest. I firmly believed that it would've been much easier and simpler if Dems stuck with Biden rather than changing horses in the middle of a race. I've said it so many times in other threads, but it's true: Dems need to get off their asses and campaign for the next nominee like their lives depend on it. SpadesToStart 3,839 Posted July 21, 2024 Share Posted July 21, 2024 Pros: -voters will have an option who isn’t 75+ and dodging dementia allegations (applies to Trump too) -candidate will be free from the Gaza genocide ties -potential to energize Democratic base, independents, younger voters, and never Trump conservatives -process of choosing a new nominee will be very exciting for an American public that loves shock value Cons: -loss of incumbent advantage -people already chose Biden over Trump before -Biden was very popular among older voters (lol the irony) I don’t think money will be an issue.
