Babylon has been compared to Vogue by Madonna since it was released, and I was bored and looked for the lyrics and man I'm crazy asf rn lol Born This Way and Express Yourself were the ultimate pop battle on 2011-12. The lyrics "That's gossip" could mean how media and Madonna fans were talking bad about Gaga and saying she's a wannabe or a copy of Madonna. "Rip that song" could mean how Gaga sampled (?) / is similar to Vogue, representing how BTW was a rip-off of EY according to the internet. "Battle for your life" could mean how Gaga had to battle to have a good reputation after all the events of the ARTPOP era made her have a kind of bad reputation. Considering Madge didn’t invent vogueing or House music, but a lot of people feel so, she knew what was coming. It was never confirmed and the world was too busy dealing with COVID that no one really cared about it but it probably is about that. The chemistry is off the charts. But I do think they were really good friends that helped each other and bonded over it, he helped with her acting, she helped with his singing.
