27monster27 9,552 Posted May 4 Share Posted May 4 (edited) Ten years ago today on May 4th, 2014, Lady Gaga kicked off her ArtRave concert tour in Sunrise, Florida (a suburb of Fort Lauderdale). Opened by Lady Starlight, the concert was a major success despite being part of an era that was viewed negatively by some. In contrast to the rumors, every date of the tour (except for the Marcus Amphitheatre in Milwaukee and possibly another) was entirely sold out. The show was rave inspired with many flashing lights, lasers, and bright colors. As Lady Gaga herself mentioned in 2022, this tour was the first of three (ArtRave, Joanne World Tour, and Enigma) in which she dropped the "Mother Monster Aesthetic" in favor of a different look. stupidLuv 42 Posted May 5 Share Posted May 5 The joy this brought me! My first Gaga concert with my mom and friends! You can actually catch a glimpse of us in OPs video. We camped out for 15+ hours in the hot sun and made front row and made sooo many friends! Sadly, a few of them no longer with us but they left such an impact on my young gay life at the time! The atmosphere while waiting for the doors to open was amazing! They had a marathon going on at the same time so we had access to water/snacks to keep us hydrated.
