But we also know it was chosen as a single because it had positive interest/reaction after the album release. It was clearly the label's choice. So I have a feeling Gaga wanted to showcase another song for the VMA's that year. When she revealed how she wanted the single rollout to be, it was this: BTW MTN Scheisse TEOG This puts "Scheisse" at the 3rd single slot, which would be around the time of the VMA's (July/ August). But her label also had their own rollout which was originally: BTW Judas MTN Which puts "Marry The Night" as the 3rd single around July/ August, another candidate for a performance at the VMA's. What do you think? Although I love "You And I", I think another song was intended/ more deserving of a performance at the 2011 VMA's. I personally wanted her to perform MTN or TEOG.
