Agreed - multiple different colors is okayish (still think it feeds into over consumerism and consolidation but whatever) but having a an exclusive song across different variants is not great; you’re  not even getting the full album at that point. At least the different colors are just personal preference for the same record.

Yeah the biggest issue is the marketing tbh.

Repeatedly advertising ltd editions or limited sales of stuff. Only to then release all of them uncapped on release day is toxic marketing at its finest.

look at Midnights, it has how many versions and how many of those versions have variant-exclusive releases, she even released a variant with a special song only at one specific performance??? ridiculous

So she wants people to spend another £16 for what is essentially one song. Then there'll be another one out in a few weeks, the Forlorn Poets Club Edition or some shite. Then there'll be the tour exclusive edition with a totally artistic and not-for-commercial-reasons remix with Ice Spice, priced at £25. Are the accountants bound and gagged? Someone needs to tell this woman she has enough money.

It'll be a miracle if she's still widely liked by the time the debut Taylor's Version comes out
