MessyTop 14,316
3rd album curse in full swing. Song is busted. Video is tragic. It’s gonna be a mega flop. Dua…. Gurl. Wake up. What a mess of singles. Nobody is gonna play this at the gay club. Bye girl. Bye
CaliLilMonster 462
The singles aren't really hitting. Houdini was cute and this is ok at best. Feel like the songs are missing the crack she sprinkled in FN.

nattuggla 21,755
The problem I have with most of today's pop songs is that they are mostly living from its production. And again the production is top notch here. But the hook is missing something. Where are the crazy catching hooks these days?! However I have to admit the hook is more visible in comparison to Houdini. Edited February 16, 2024 by nattuggla
retrosexual123 719
Objectively — it’s a bop and very very well produced. A very very strong pop song. Should have been 1st single. Video is OK.
Ladle Ghoulash 16,572
2 hours ago, Grigio Guy said: Is it me or are the counts off throughout the entire song?? Or am I just used to gay pop counts? I was getting blown away by the extended version and there just felt like random extensions throughout it? Like the intro didn’t need to be 45 seconds and there didn’t need to be a random break down in the middle of the song. Not to mention the random count right before the final beat drops. I’m just thrown off, which sucks, because the song is actually catchy Not to be pedantic, but when you say the counts are off, that implies that the rhythm is wrong or something is musically offbeat (which I don’t think is the case). Are you saying there are just sections that feel a bit long and don’t fit into a normal pop formula?
Guest
I like both Houdini and Training Season but something about both of these songs makes me feel like you can take the isolated vocals from one song and place them into the other and it would still vibe pretty well. In my head I can hear a smooth transition between both the songs at random points in each other. I need a mashup. VTV 12,769
Live instruments are Dua's ally. This overcleaned track could have been a timeless if it wasnt for the overmastered production. I hope this debuts at least top 5 on hot 100
Didymus 34,379
The production is again stunning. Not as good as Houdini but a nice change of pace. I'm surprised this era isn't very well received here. I guess because she's focusing more on mood/production than stereotypical catchiness? ElectricChapelR 2,009
It's so good! The music videos are not a thing anymore (sadly) so I will just focus on streaming this bop, I love it
Killa 15,837
I couldn’t listen to the whole song. It def got way too tedious in the second verse. the song lacks a bit on the dynamics department. Not that all instruments play at once but almost. But the worse is that one in the chorus that synth almost in unison with her, like music a bit of fresh air. The sound is beautiful but feels saturated. I kinda love the harmony it’s very abba’ish, there’s that fandango feeling like in americano. but I don’t like dua lipa voice here, she used to sing a bit more relaxed, it loses a bit of mystery if she’s trying for squillo and projection. Like good she’s hmmm singing clean but I was missing that special tone a bit. Still recognisable and beautiful anyway the song is annoying, as usual I wrote an unnecessary essay. Won’t listen to it again and it’s a pitty

TEANUS 12,941
Enjoy a mashup I made of the song with Telephone, I think it bumps British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
palma 7,462
I'll be happy for her if this becomes big, but ngl I cannot really connect to Dua's music this era Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?
SimonBaetens 6,889
I love the chorus but the rest sounds a bit messy? But I’m sure it’ll grow on me. when you're lonely, I'll be lonely too / https://www.last.fm/user/SimonBaetens
