But she talked about the release date months before and some fans absolutely wanted the single because "the hype for Joker will hellpppp111!!"  and this is how it ended.

It's kinda obvious they counted (a lot) on Joker stuff to hype new music. Even John Jannick admitted that. 

I mean she made a full album with the movie's music, she even recorded a full live of Harlequin (that we'll probably never get). She made an very dark album, she posted picture of her recording LG7 wering Joker's shirt.

Everybody believed in that movie's success, even studios. And I still think people's overreacted about this movie. And it wasn't really predictable. Mixed reviews were, but a huge tsumani of hate, definitely not. 

 

Objectively Gaga should have started her LG7 roll-out in Spring 2024 while she was teasing 'Dancing in the shadow' in CTB special, and released the album in September, before the movie was out. And pushing a Ariana Eternal Sunshine / Wicked strategy. Anyway, what is done, is done tbh

This in so many ways. The eternal wait just killed all the hype we collectively had at the beginning of the year when this thread was made and nailed the coffin when the album was announced for half a year later than the alleged insider releases, which was for HQ.  I was so excited for the release, but seeing how after all the hype she herself showed is now kinda gone I'm just ready for another non event album release.

Same here but I'd totally get why she wouldn't release it. The Joker era needs to go

Hopefully she'll leak it one day for fans to enjoy the performances

Hate to say this but let's trust the process. I'm 100% she has some BIG plans for 2025 or she wouldn't have signed for Copacabana and Cochella shows.

Kinda feel like Disease was more of a snippet from the new music that is coming. Releasing new single in late 2024 was already a bad commercial decision in the first place tbh

Agreed. I've said this before on here, I do think that their plans were for LG7 to launch earlier. My boyfriend works for a fashion house, and they prepped looks for Gaga for September Fashion Week, but everything was cancelled at the last minute. 

Plus, seeing how sensitive Gaga is, I doubt that she took all the Joker hate lightly..... she was probably in a state and I wouldn't blame her.
