I think a lot of us did, sis. They had 2 years to work on that but maybe Gaga simply didn't want those songs out or the legal stuff made it hard to make it happen.

mmm yeah i did think there will be an official release too but when nov 11th came and nothing (except for those demos and photoshoots) happened, i thought we MIGHT get a tea leak or maybe all of those 40 songs

Very much this, after Burim leaked all of the demos from The Fame Monster. (Most of the unused songs were probably in contention to make TFM a 12 track LP tbh and messed that up), they got smarter like having her make all of BTW entirely offline and never put on a device with internet access for example.

All the stuff that’s leaking recently has pretty much been stuff that probably happened when iCloud was hacked years ago

I don’t think there’s anything else of value left to leak really, most of the music around that time was massively incomplete unless it was going to be on the album, and even then nothing was fully “finished” like look at BN it’s ALMOST finished but some of the mastering, a more authentic and less robotic lead vocal were probably very much needed.

And all we have demos from her pre-ARTPOP era that were most likely meant for other artists or collaborations around the time for other projects (Hallelujah, TGT revamp, PN, RF to name a few).

I think it was a demo originally for Zedd’s second studio album True Colors, because I know when he announced he had a new album we almost all exclusively expected a song with Gaga since he had just worked with her in the 3 years running up to it. That plus Matthew Koma is on the song as and it has some stems from Addicted to A Memory. Then we were all like… Oh… when she wasn’t on it. 
 

Also random thought, she never really mentions working with him anymore or mentions him despite the fact he was a BIG part of the early conception of ARTPOP and was with her every night on tour as an opening act for TBTWB. Perhaps he wasn’t easy to work with and didn’t wanna compromise his sound/vision? Since his contributions to the record don’t differ far from his usual sound
