that's the exact point of a strike, to disrupt the flow and status quo as much as possible so those in power will feel compelled to change their unethical practices. blame the rich people & corporations who aren't budging, not the working people trying to make their lives better

People should be grateful for the job.

God, this is such a disgusting take :eww:

People shouldn't have to be grateful for a job where they're mistreated, given bad contracts, underpaid, etc.. The industry should have to treat them better, give them better contracts and pay them better.

If you’re underpaid and taken advantage of, then you absolutely should not be grateful for the job. I’m not gonna worship at the feet of mega corporations for making sure I stay poor but not so poor I can’t show up to work for them.

But you clearly are a deeply un-compassionate individual who only cares about themselves. Strikes mildly inconvenience your life so you lick the boots of corporations that don’t give a **** about you. You’re nothing to them and never will be, yet you trumpet their narratives and come to their defense like those corps will save you one day.

They won’t.

You’re no different than the gays who align with republicans. You align yourself with your oppressor in some delusional attempt to convince yourself that they’re right and the ones pushing back are wrong.

I hope and pray you never have to suffer the way so many workers that are forced to strike do.

I hope to God you educate yourself sooner rather than later because as it stands. every word out of your mouth on the strikes is foolish nonsense.

Alright, so you have no right to complain about anything. Not your job. Not your home life. Not your relationships. Not your health. Nothing. Cause you should just "be grateful", right? Please...

Imagine trying to defend multi-billion dollar companies over people literally just trying to work a living wage.

Scab? Please what is this, the 50’s? People are so dramatic. If she wants to work, let her work.

yeah, no. you don't get to cross picket lines in your own job field and expect to go without consequences. you should educate yourself before speaking so ignorantly.

The fact that there are people in this thread with no respect for unions when without unions there would be: no weekends, no unemployment, no workers comp, no 40 hour work week, no 8 hour work day, no family or medical leave, no child labor laws, nor employment-based health insurance…

She is a member of SAG and employs WGA writers. Belonging to a union and receiving the benefits means she also has obligations, that's the whole deal.

Unions are just as bad as these multi billion pound corporations. They are just as corrupt and takes money from their members every month and give nothing in return. It’s about time unions are outright banned.

Yes, they do if they want. I’d happily cross a picket line

Or maybe I value work. I’ve worked in hospitality before and was not treated right but I never striked, I just went looking for another job.
