Well to be fair, we dont really know if she scrapped the Enigma concept to favor someone else, I think it was a creative process as the ideas are storming from everyone on her team. We will never know her own initial concepts and thoughts for Bad Romance vídeo or BTWBT because none of her concepts are free from the influence of others and that’s okay!

Same thing with Chromatica. Maybe her initial plan for LG6 was a ballad album but she made the plan based on a very dark and depressive time in her life and maybe she needed her team to cheer her up and help her through that moment so she was able to make dance pop again which she loves. Again, to be fair, after Shallow success, it would be a smart move to drop another acoustic ballad to guarantee another hit for herself but yet again she chose to go for a new and unexpected sound and I respect that!

It might be controversial but one thing that comes to mind is after canceling DWUW and deleting it she stated things like “I made this song from a very dark perspective” kinda “admitting” the song was about r*pe when the song was actually a very empowering anthem as she had explained several times before.

I think it was a very delicate situation for her career, especially as a survivor herself and an advocate for the cause but I wish she stood by her art and managed to get R Kelly out of it and kept it on her discography. That song could have become a pro-survivor anthem after all the mess but her whole team/PR felt so unprepared to manage the whole situation!

 

Ofc I’ve been “mad” about many things in the past, as Gaga has contradicted herself many times but I’ve learned as we grow older, that’s kinda inevitable. My own interests have changed a lot so it’s pretty normal that Gaga would have been through the same!

If I remember rightly; the American Idol performance was a simplified version of the original video concept.

the original video synopsis I remember was she was a mermaid whom was discovered and captured by the government and experimented on, then she fell in love with one of the scientists, got legs, they escaped and were hunted and it ended with them jumping off a cliff together into the ocean.

so basically The Little Mermaid meets Splash but darker.

- ARTPOP not being that ravey or very electronic at all as she promised

- all of the changes of the ARTPOP scheduled, i know if wasnt her fault but as a fan it felt painful to see her decay as the main superstar of the moment

- the lack of chromatica promo during covid era. same covid wasnt her fault but look at smile by katy perry, she was pregant and do more shows than her on that time
