Born This Way is my favorite music video from Gaga. And one thing that I always liked was Rick Genest.
I was in shock when he died almost 5 years ago. I loved his vibe, and he seemed a very kind person.
What really happen with him? I never knew why he really died. I read something, but nobody knew what happen.

Spoiler

On August 1, 2018, six days before his 33rd birthday, Genest was found dead after a fall from the third floor balcony at his apartment, in the Le Plateau-Mont-Royal district of Montreal.[33] A police source initially told CBC that the death was likely a suicide.[2] However, in October 2019, coroner Melissa Gagnon ruled the death was accidental.[34][35] Her investigation concluded that Genest died from head trauma after landing on the sidewalk and furthermore noted a high level of alcohol in his system with traces of cannabis, with no "unequivocal" evidence of suicidal intent.[34][35] He left no suicide note, had recently been engaged, and by all accounts found his career fulfilling.[34] Some relatives and friends believed all along it had been an accident.[36] His manager, of a similar height to Genest (5'10"), noted the balcony railing ends below his hips.[37] He speculated that Genest lost his balance and fell, explaining Genest often leaned against or sat on railings while smoking.[35]

He pretty much fell from a third floor balcony and passed away, while drunk/high apparently.

Soft, soothing, and succulent
