27monster27 9,355
So as I am out of college for the summer, I decided to start my Robyn discography journey. I recently listened to her second album My Truth and I have to say that I love it. I love the growth that she experienced on this album; it reminds me of Stripped/Britney/In The Zone. I really also admire her bravery in discussing the serious events in her life like her abortion. It's unfortunate that RCA saw that as a reason to scrap the album release outside of Sweden (particularly in the US). Top picks from the album for me: Electric My Truth Main Thing Giving You Back Universal Woman ---- Over all I really enjoyed this album, and I can't wait for what's to come! he/him/his 1
DISZKO 546
I like the Britney comparison, apparently Britney's early sound and image was based on/inspired by Robyn's.
BlingNotTheMusic 24,930
Thank you so much for posting this! I'm a huge Robyn fan and I swear her discography on US Spotify has always just been Robyn Is Here, Robyn, Body Talk (1, 2) and Honey. It looks like they recently added My Truth and Don't Stop The Music because I literally have never seen those before. I will check them out! She's such a Queen
Reject False Icons 4,377
Omg so glad someone did Robyn discography journey and shares it here electric is so hypnotic and addictive, Play and My Truth describe her growth and a more mature woman in a blissful way Long gone and Monday morning are so chilly and joyful like a summer evening 88 days reminds me when I just listened to it and it just made sense when the pandemic was going on and everyone stayed at home and I just counted days till it was over Giving you back and universal woman are heartbreaking but wise and tell you first hand of how it feels to go through an abortion Not on the inside is a CERTIFIED BOP is so forgotten towards the end of the album, it should have been a single, plus I think sheâs shading Max Martin Edited May 28, 2023 by Reject False Icons
