No, we're talking about the Hanson or Jonas Brothers type of Siblings in music, who already in a group/band together.

But more like, a sibling who follow footsteps of their older, (and usually more successful), sibling into doing music such as Michael & Janet Jackson, there are a few of them. Though sometimes they will do different genre than their older sibling does.

Some other examples includes:

- Beyoncé & Solange Knowles

- Kylie & Danii Minogue

- Miley & Noah Cyrus

- Jessica & Ashlee Simpson

- Hillary & Haylie Duff

- Britney & Leech Spears

- and more (you can add the ones that hasn't been named yet)

What do you think of them? Do you enjoy both of their music equally? Or you prefer the older sibling music best? Or you actually usually enjoy the younger sibling music than their older sibling's? :flower:

I always thought it was interesting how Split Enz was founded by Tim Finn, then five years later, his younger brother Neil joined, and effectively took over the band, having as he did more of a knack for pop. Years later, Tim briefly joined Neil's band Crowded House.

Maybe not exactly what you had in mind, but in both cases, they started the band without the brother.

Then there's the Bee Gees (Brothers Gibb), and their younger brother Andy Gibb, who was never part of the group, but had hits of his own. (They were often co-written with his brothers, and had a similar sound.)

David Knopfler, younger brother of Mark left Dire Straits during the recording of their 3rd album. Ten years earlier, Tom Fogerty, older brother of John, left Creedence Clearwater Revival after the band's 6th album.

Southern rock had a fair share of sibling tragedy and redemption too. Duane Allman, founder of the Allman Brothers Band with his younger brother Greg, died in a motorcycle accident in '71 and Ronnie van Zant, singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd died in a plane crash in '77. Both these bands survived thanks to next of kin and close friends musicians, along multiple reincarnations, line-up change and members demise until 2018. Farewell and Anniversary tour came to conclusion right before the pandemic for both these mythic rock bands.

Jonas Brothers: Nick and Joe, I forgot if the other one sings I dont think so. I was a gay kid in the early 2000s and bought 2 albums.

Thank goodness, I discovered Britney Spears with Gimme More and saved me from the JoBros.

Honestly, I've never enjoyed the younger sibling's music more, or should I say, whoever got famous second. The first to get famous had that happen for a reason. If the second one was good enough, they would have got there first or at the same time. I know it's harsh, but it's true. The second one is always piggybacking off the success of the original because they couldn't do it on their own merit. The only one who's come remotely close to being as good as their more successful sibling is Janet Jackson. The other ones? Not even in the same universe.

Never knew she had a sister or that she sang too. In that picture, she looks like Madonna from around 2006!
