Smother Em Eh 7,095
Last few albums including this past one are complete generic 🗑 ? Her last good album was The Truth About Love and that was in 2012. A decade ago! Her new song, “Never Not Gonna Dance Again” is some generic teeny pop song and is rather annoying. She went from pop rock like songs to some generic tropical house Chainsmokers pop sounding songs. She used to deliver such great music from her debut till 2012 and then she seemed to decline in quality more and more with each album ever since. I’m not hating at all. It’s just that it’s disappointing seeing such a talented Artist that was once a fav of yours with so much more potential, decline in quality so much! Anyone else feel this way? thierryrreiht 20,981
I think there are a few reasons: 1. She's older, and more mature than her DGAF self when she was in her 20s 2. She has a daughter now, so I'm sure there's a sense of "role model" that kicked in 3. She probably doesn't have the desire to be edgy, pushing the boundaries like she used to anymore. Her flips in the air seem to be enough for her (even if tiresome for a lot of us) 4. When Trump was elected, she truly switched her mission to be more "inspiring" (What About Us, in 2017), and fighting for justice.. in a very "noooo please stop fighting!" way. 5. Her audience now truly is Old Navy soccer moms that think salt is spicy.
Cameltoe Chariot 15,151
Never Not Gonna Dance Again is actually kind of tragic because the chorus slaps and her vocals are great... but the lyrics are cringey as F*CK I swear if she just worked with some fresh songwriters and had more complexity to her lyrics instead of mid-2000s "back off haters" kind of drags, her music would be so much more popular. She's an incredible performer and she has one of the best voices of her peers, but her cheesy lyrics are extremely uncool
Anderson123 38,181
I think a lot of the things we love about an artist's early work is more the reflection of our own nostalgia. Looking back at Missundaztood, I do love a lot of the music in there, from Just Like A Pill, Family Portrait, Gone To California, Eventually, Get The Party Started and Don't Let Me Get Me. But the music she has made after that feels like the things she still sings about today. She has always used her voice to support minorities, injustice, etc. and even with songs like Stupid Girls, Who Knew, So What, Sober, etc. If she were to released those songs today people would still say they prefer the "old P!nk" but I think all of her albums have great songs in there and some not so great. dubstep111 664
I completely agree, but there’s always one song off each album that I like. Sober was one from an album that I liked. What about us from her last album is probably my favorite song from her ever.

Cavadour 2,349
Yes. The complete blandness of her last album floored me. Idk... She has maybe some reasons but honestly I can't see a good one to put out such a pile of generic songs. There must be some wrong behind the scene... Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
Karl 3,389
Ok but Trustfall the song is actually a bop
River 116,183
Her best album is I'm Not Dead, not even Missundaztood Pink has been stuck with the same formula since Missundaztood, it's like the song are juts the same, lyrically (Leave Me Alone I'm Lonely / Please Don't Leave Me, Bad Influence / Walk of Shame for example) Never Gonna Not Dance Again sounds like a song that Justin Timberlake would sing, it a Can't Stop The Feeling kind of song So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Future Lovers 6,899
Complete garbage? No. She's just settled into her comfort zone and I don't find anything wrong with that. She's been making music now for over 20 years, she's selling out stadiums around the world, and she's collected more hits than some of her peers can dream of. She isn't at the point where she has to prove anything anymore, so why should she feel the need to still be pushing boundaries if that isn't what she'd like to do? We don't have to agree with an artist's direction, but I think it's time stans stopped demanding things out of them at the same time. She's earned the right to make whatever music she would like to make, and if this is it then that's it. It clearly hasn't hurt her esteem with the public so I don't really see where the foul is here. ALGAYDO 32,413
She’s definitely plateau’d when it comes to her lyrics and production, but she still makes good music. Not innovative or whatever, and yeah kinda generic, but still solid pieces of work. For the most part, if you ignore the few cringe-inducing songs she slaps onto her albums for some reason lol
Joshie S 6,066
I can understand sometimes where ya'll are coming from with this side of the opinion however I have a hard time agreeing. I thoroughly enjoy all of her releases and can appreciate each song for what they are and what she is trying to say. Her melodies are also top quality. The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥
